Locations
Locations enable you to control where your store & stock resides, and have more granular control on where stock is deducted from based on your customer's order location. Locations also dictate where orders can be fulfilled from.
Location Properties
Name - The name of the building, or alias as known by you and your customers
Description - Something to help you and stuff describe this location (this is not visible to the public)
Type - The type of location (office, warehouse, or outlet)
Address - The full address of this location
Contact Information - Contact information of the person/team responsible for this location
Location - Latitude & Longitude on a map determining the exact location of your store/warehouse/outlet
Creating a Location
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on Add Location
- Enter a name in Location Name
- Select the Type of this location
- Enter the Address of this location
- Enter the Contact Details of this location
- Click Save
Updating a Location
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on the location you'd like to update
- Update the necessary information
- Click Save
Deleting a Location
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on the bin icon
- Confirm your action
IMPORTANT
When a location is deleted, ALL the stock assigned to that location is also deleted.
This action is not reversible!
Assigning Stock to a Location
Products exist in all locations by default.
Toggling product availability in a Location
Each product/variant availability can be toggled on/off in each location.
- Go to Products > Inventory.
- Select the location you want to update from the tabs at the top of the page.
- Check/Un-check the tickbox next to the product you'd like to make available/unavailable from the selected location.
Note
The inventory interface automatically saves your changes.
Assigning stock amounts
Each location can have independent stock levels for each product & variant.
- Go to Products
- Click on the product you want to stock
- Make sure Track Stock is enabled
- Click Save
- Products > Inventory
- Select the location you want to stock from the tabs at the top
- Find the product you want to stock in the list (Note: You may search for the product by; Title, SKU, Vendor...)
- Enter the new values in the field labelled units
Fulfilment Options
Each location may have different fulfilment options based on your store requirements.
Shipping
To ship items from a location;
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on the location you'd like to ship from
- Tick the tickbox labelled Ship from this location
- Select the delivery zones this location can fulfil
- Click Save
Note
If a product is not available at checkout after configuring these options, confirm that a Shipping Provider is configured to fulfil the selected Delivery Zones.
Delivery
To deliver items from a location;
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on the location you'd like to deliver from
- Tick the tickbox labelled Deliver from this location
- Specify a delivery radius
- Enter your Delivery Rates
- Enter any relevant Delivery Information
- Click Save
Restricting Delivery Times
If a location has specific opening hours and you would like to disable deliveries from that location, you may specify its opening hours. When configured, deliveries from the location will not be available outside the specified times.
- Tick the tickbox labelled Restrict when deliveries are available from this location
- Click Add Delivery Time
- Enter the times this location is open to fulfil delivery orders from
Note: The schedule specified is always checked against Central European Time
- Click Save
Notes
- Deliveries are only available to customers that enter a delivery address matching the country of the location.
- To use deliveries, the location must have been selected on the map.
- When customers select to get their items via delivery they are asked to enter their location on a map.
Pickup
To enable the pickup option from a location;
- Go to Settings > Locations
- Click on the location you'd like to offer Pickup from
- Tick the tickbox labelled Pickup from this location
- Enter the Minimum Order Amount for an order to be eligible for pickup (if applicable)
- Enter any relevant pickup information (such as; opening hours, and typical order time)
- Click Save
Notes
- To enable pickup, the location needs to have a full address specified.
- Pickup address and location are shown during checkout prior to confirming an order.
- When customers select to pick up their items, they are shown a map with directions to your location.
