Redirects

Redirects enable you to merge pages or redirect old pages into new ones, to ensure your customers don't encounter pages that no longer exist.

Add Redirect

1. Visit Admin > Redirects
2. Click on Add Redirect
3. Specify the Source URL - URL that will be redirected
   This should be a relative URL on your store's domain, example: /old
4. Specify the Target URL - URL users will be redirected to
   This should be a relative URL on your store's domain, example: /new
5. Select if the redirect is Permanent
   If checked a 301 redirect will be used, this signals search engines that the old URL should no longer be indexed in the search results and transfer all link juice. If unchecked a 302 redirect will be used to signal search engines that you're only redirecting for a short while.
   
   

Remove Redirect

Caution: If a redirect is removed, it can cause problems with search engine rankings.

1. Visit Admin > Redirects
2. Click on the bin icon next to the redirect
3. Confirm your selection
