Product Management

Products are the backbone of every online store, we can't have an online store without products, so in this short manual, we'll go over the options offered by Lifeboat to effectively manage your inventory.

The Products interface can be accessed by clicking on Products in the Lifeboat admin interface.

The product fields

Each product has multiple fields, and it's recommended to fill in as many as possible to improve user experience, and better rank on search engines such as Google.

Shipping Class	The name of the Shipping Class this product belongs to	No

Additional Descriptions	A list of additional descriptions such as; Warranty Info, Shipping Info, Technical Specs, etc...	No
Product Type	An internal category used by third-party marketplaces to categorize the product More about product types	No

Track Stock	On / Off option if to track stock quantities or not	No

Stock Amount	The number of items left in stock	No
Condition	The condition of the item This is not visible on the online shop, however, used by third-party marketplaces such as Facebook commerce	Yes

Create a product

Open Products
Click on + Add Product
Enter the required field as listed above
Click Save

Update a product

Open Products
Click on the product you'd like to edit or the pencil icon
Update the necessary fields
Click Save

Delete a product

Open Products
Click on the trash icon next to the product you'd like to delete
Confirm your decision
