Artise Theme

Installing the theme

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Install Theme
  3. Find the Artise Theme
  4. Click install
    Once installed the theme will be listed underneath the theme preview
  5. Click on Actions
  6. Click on Make Default

Home Page

Slider Collections

In Artise, you may have up to 4 collections that are used in a slider on the home page. 

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Customise
  3. Choose up to four collections to be shown, in the custom Fields labelled 
    • Home: Slider Collection 1
    • Home: Slider Collection 2
    • Home: Slider Collection 3
    • Home: Slider Collection 4
  4. Click Save

You may also change the image shown on the banners

  1. Go to Products > Collections
  2. Click on the selected collection to open for editing
  3. Set the image in the field labelled; Slider Image
  4. Click Save

Note:

Slider Collection 1 and Slider Collection 2 are shown as the first things on the home page, whilst Slider Collection 3 and Slider Collection 4 are shown further down the page

Featured Collections

Under the Slider section, you may have 2 collections to be featured in a carousel To add these:

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Select the collections to show in the fields labelled; Home: Featured Collection 1, Home: Featured Collection 2
  3. Click Save

 

Note: 

Featured Collection 1 is shown directly underneath the Slider, whilst Featured Collection 2 is shown further down underneath the Banner Collections.

  

Artise Featured Collection

 

Banner Collections

Underneath the first Featured Collection section, you may have up to 4 collections to be featured on the home page, shown as (up to) 4 collection blocks. To add these;

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click customise
  3. Select the Collection to show in the field labelled; Home: Banner Collection 1
  4. Repeat step 2 for;
    • Home: Banner Collection 2
    • Home: Banner Collection 3
    • Home: Banner Collection 4
  5. Click Save

 

You can change what image is shown in the banner collections by doing the following:

  1. Go to Products > Collections
  2. Click on the selected collection to open for editing
  3. Set the image in the field labelled; Banner Image
  4. Click Save

Display Collections

Further down the page, under the second set of Slider Collections, two collections can be shown in carousels next to each other. These can be set by doing the following;

  1. Open Design
  2. Select the collections you'd like to show in the fields labelled;
    • Display Collection 1
    • Display Collection 2
  3. Click Save

Footer

In the footer section, you can have two custom menus as well as a widget.

Footer: First Menu

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Customise
  3. In the field labelled Footer: First Menu select a menu that will be used on the middle left-hand side of the footer.
    Note

    The Menu title is used as the header in the footer.
    Submenus are not supported.

  4. Click Save

 

Footer: Second Menu

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Customise
  3. In the field labelled Footer: Second Menu select a menu that will be used in the middle of the footer.

  4. Click Save

 

Footer: Widget

 In Artise, a widget can be placed to be shown on the right hand side of the footer, for example a map.

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Customise
  3. In the field labelled Footer: Widget insert the HTML code of a widget.
  4. Click Save

Map Location

The Artise theme gives you the option to have a map with the store's location on the site, specifically on the Contact page. To do this;

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Click on Customise
  3. Enter your shop's name and full address in the field labelled Map Location
    1. Get the shop's full name (1) and address (2) from Google Maps as shown below Store name and address
    2. Input them as shown below in the field Map Location
  4. Click Save

 

NOTE:
It is important to enter the shop's name and address exactly as it is shown on Google Maps. You can follow the steps and screenshots below.

 

And the result should be as follows.

 

Blog

Blog page Banner Image

In the Blog Page where blogs are shown a custom image can be set to be shown in a banner. This can be set by;

  1. Open Design in the Lifeboat admin interface
  2. Select the image to be shown in the custom field labelled Blog page Banner Image
  3. Click Save

 

Collection

 

Collection Heading

A collection may have a heading that is visible in the Slider Collections 

  1. Open Collections
  2. Click on the Collection you'd like to edit (open for editing)
  3. Enter a subtitle in the field labelled; Collection Heading
  4. Click Save
